Columba Spring Term

In the Spring Term in Columba we have 2 topics: Down in the Jungle and Down on the Farm.

Down in the Jungle is a geography-based topic, and we will be comparing different countries with England.  We will focus on Africa and China.

We will make maps using the story Handa’s Surprise, we will make binoculars to look for different animals, and we will make houses out of clay. We will also write poems about jungle animals and use the story of Dear Zoo to create our own class book.

Down on the Farm is a Science based Topic, We will be looking at our senses, life cycles and seasons, we will be learning about baby and adult farm animals and we will have a visit from some lambs.
