For our topic of 'The Emperor's New Land', we had a fun filled day participating in many activities linked to our topic. We made our own scutums (shield) to prepare for our battle in the afternoon. Carefully, we looked at roman numerals and explored these using lolly pop sticks. With our partners, we learned about the skills that the obedient Roman soldiers needed and ordered these by most importance and presented our findings to the class. Finally, we participated in a mega battle against our friends after forming the turtle formation we had learned about in our learning.
